TOSY Robotics JSC, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, is a pioneer Vietnamese technology company specializing in robotics R&D and manufacturing. The company developed TOPIO, a bipedal humanoid robot designed to play table tennis against human opponents, first demonstrated at the Tokyo International Robot Exhibition (IREX) in November 2007. TOPIO 2.0 stands 2.1m tall, weighs 60kg, and features 28 degrees of freedom.
TOSY also produces DiscoRobo, a consumer entertainment robot that dances in response to music, beats, and ambient sounds. The company operates as Vietnam's first dedicated robotics R&D and manufacturing firm.
