Hefei Tongzhi Electromechanical Control Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Galaxy Electronics Co., Ltd., listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange under code 002519. The subsidiary was established on October 26, 2009, building on a predecessor business dating to October 2000, and is based in the Hefei High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Anhui province. It has been designated a National High-Tech Enterprise and a specialized-and-special ""little giant"" enterprise under China's small-and-medium-enterprise development program.
The company's four core product lines are high-frequency switch power supplies, integrated electromechanical management systems, special motors and controllers, and automotive air-conditioning scroll compressors. Parent-company disclosures describe a share of its output as supporting China's defense sector, covering integrated electronic information systems, integrated environmental control systems, and technical-support equipment for military vehicles, rather than general industrial robotics.
In July 2023, Galaxy Electronics disclosed that Tongzhi had signed an investment agreement with the Hanshan Economic Development Zone in Anhui for a sub-subsidiary with total investment of roughly RMB 300 million, for a facility intended to produce 360 military-equipment support vehicles per year.
