Company Overview

Saidynamics is an Australian drone designer and manufacturer with offices on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and in Hobart, Tasmania. It began research and development on fixed-wing and rotary-wing concepts in June 2008, flew its first homegrown 20 kg long-endurance fixed-wing aircraft in 2009 and started operations with its own autopilots and airframes in 2010. In 2012 it flew over the Ranger uranium mine to support rehabilitation work, and from 2014 it carried out research in embedded electronics, composites, navigation algorithms and high-wind flight. The company holds a CASA Remote Operator Certificate, ReOC 6582.

Its multirotor aircraft are sold under the BREMER name. Bremer Gen 1 was released in 2016 and flown in Antarctic and Namibian conditions, including at Casey station. Gen 2 followed in 2018 to carry heavy payloads such as lidar and hyperspectral imagers, and Gen 3 in 2019 was optimised for inspection payloads; the company says it has flown thousands of kilometres of powerline surveys. The current BREMER 80 (BMR4-80) is an octocopter with a 25 kg maximum take-off weight, 10 kg payload and 48 minutes of battery endurance without payload, or 40 minutes with 4 kg. It uses a Cube Orange+ autopilot, dual-band RTK-capable GNSS and a Herelink datalink, with options for Septentrio receivers for jamming resistance, mesh and COFDM radios, tethered power and an NVIDIA GPU co-processor for on-board AI. The BREMER 80-H hybrid version extends endurance to 4 hours, and the BREMER 40 carries 4 kg at 14 kg take-off weight for 52 minutes for inspection, mapping, monitoring and training work.

The range also includes an incendiary drone at 25 kg take-off weight with more than 120 minutes of endurance for aerial ignition in fire management. A fixed-wing UAV with 6 kg payload and more than 6 hours of endurance and the 2 kg BREMER 3 micro drone were announced as coming in the second quarter of 2024. Bespoke builds cover payloads from 0.3 to 80 kg and take-off weights from 1 to 150 kg, with sensor categories including lidar, multispectral and hyperspectral cameras, meteorological and chemical sensors, water samplers, RF analysers and communications relays.

Beyond aircraft, Saidynamics offers mapping, enterprise and AI solutions, hardware, software and sensor-integration engineering, maintenance and training. Its stated markets are power utilities, infrastructure, firefighting, law enforcement and environmental monitoring. No named customers, headcount or ownership details are published.
