Robot Factory Srl is an Italian manufacturer of desktop additive manufacturing equipment and benchtop thermoplastic injection molding machines, headquartered in Mirano, in the Venice metropolitan area. The company was founded in 2006 by Andrea Martini and has its roots in educational robotics dating back to 2001, when Martini began designing programmable robot kits for schools that in some ways anticipated the Arduino platform. The company later expanded into CNC machining accessories before focusing entirely on 3D printing and injection molding systems, all engineered and produced in Italy.
Robot Factory is best known internationally for its Sliding-3D FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) printer, which uses a conveyor belt build platform giving it theoretically unlimited print length along one axis, with a build volume of 410 mm x 380 mm x infinite. The belt mechanism, combined with a 45-degree inclined extruder, allows continuous batch printing without manual part removal between jobs. The Silver Belt is the company's flagship FDM-45 3D printer, offered as an all-metal kit variant of this technology, designed for professional prototyping and small-series production. Robot Factory also offers the Steel Roller and Steel Roller 45 upgrade kits for existing printer configurations.
The company's 3DLPrinter HD 2.0+ is a professional DLP-based stereolithography printer offering high-resolution photopolymer printing for fine-detail applications including jewelry, dental models, and engineering components.
In injection molding, Robot Factory developed and manufactures two benchtop systems: the Pneumatic Injection Molding system, which uses pneumatic pressure to inject thermoplastic material into metal molds for prototyping and R&D; and the Oleodynamic Injection Molding system, launched in 2025, which achieves extrusion force of up to approximately 1,900 kg with an optional vise reaching 4,300 kg clamping force, targeting larger production volumes and stiffer materials.
Robot Factory products are used in education, research institutions, rapid prototyping studios, and small-batch manufacturing. The company also supports recycled plastic workflows using 3D-printed molds, promoting sustainable material use. All products are designed and manufactured in Italy.
