The system is designed to assist surgeons performing minimally invasive soft-tissue procedures, including general abdominal surgery, targeting outpatient ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and smaller hospitals — a large market segment priced out of conventional robotic surgery by capital costs and space requirements.
In March 2026 Revolve Surgical received FDA 510(k) clearance for its surgical robot platform for general surgery, with expanded laparoscopic clearance anticipated before full commercial launch. The company joined the Medical Innovation Exchange (MIX) as an affiliate member in July 2025.
