Suzhou service-robot maker (est. 2006, formerly CSJBOT, now sold abroad as Alpha Robotics): Amy and Alice reception robots, Speedybot and Panda delivery robots.
Suzhou Pangolin Robot Co., Ltd. is a Chinese manufacturer of commercial service robots based in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The company was founded in 2006, set up a robotics R&D laboratory in 2011, moved into the Kunshan robotics industrial park in 2013 and that year began mass production of a food delivery robot. It opened what it describes as China's first robot restaurant in 2014 and exported its first Chinese-made food delivery robot in 2015. For many years it sold internationally under the CSJBOT brand (the old csjbot.com domain now redirects to the Chinese corporate site), and its international marketing now runs under the name Alpha Robotics (Suzhou Alpha Robotics Co., Ltd.), with an English site at alpharobotics.ai that carries the same product line, the same milestones and the same contact numbers.
The product range is organised into reception, last-mile delivery, security patrol, humanoid and medical robots. Reception robots include Amy, Alice, Ciao, Timo, Snow and Fairy. Alice is a 1.5 m, 45 kg humanoid-style reception robot with a 13.3-inch touch screen, 3 degrees of freedom, a 20 Ah battery, LiDAR navigation and face recognition, offered with an SDK and API for custom applications such as bank queue calling and venue guidance. Amy is the company's best-known humanoid serving robot; a Japanese government (JETRO) case study notes that Amy was deployed at the robot restaurant in the Huis Ten Bosch resort in Japan. The delivery line includes the Speedybot (Feimaotui) family for indoor and outdoor delivery, the Panda restaurant and hotel delivery robots, and the Panda AMR F150, F300 and F600 carriers. Speedybot Pro, launched as an indoor/outdoor robot in 2024, is listed with a 100 kg maximum load, an 80 L compartment, 7.2 km/h top speed, 48 V 20 Ah battery, about 8 hours of operation, multi-line 3D LiDAR and an IoT module that lets it ride elevators and pass gates. Security robots include CatCop (Black Cat Sheriff, launched 2025) and Specopsbot, and the medical range covers hospital delivery and disinfection versions of the Speedybot and Panda platforms.
Its humanoid entry is the Kingkong G1, marketed abroad as Alphabot G1, a wheeled dual-column humanoid 1.8 m tall and weighing 100 kg, with a 20 kg arm payload, a 48 V 30 Ah LiFePO4 battery giving at least 10 hours of operation, automatic docking for recharging, 0 to 1.5 m/s travel speed, an HD camera, linear microphone array and ultrasonic sensors. The company positions it for material handling, round-the-clock sorting and order picking, patrol and reception tasks. In 2023 the company released SmartStar, a vertical large language model for its service robots.
According to its own figures, the company has shipped more than 55,000 robots, serves over 10,000 customers and exports to more than 90 countries and regions. Customers named in the JETRO case study include Bank of China, HSBC, McDonald's and Starbucks (China). In 2020 its delivery robots were supplied to nearly 100 hospitals and quarantine sites, including the Wuhan temporary hospitals, and its reception robots were used at the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Asian Games. Manufacturing is carried out at production bases in East and North China totalling nearly 30,000 square metres with eight commercial-robot production lines, and R&D centres are in Suzhou, Shanghai and Tokyo. The Japanese subsidiary, Pangolin Robot Japan Co., Ltd., was established in Chofu, Tokyo, in April 2017 as a joint venture with the University of Electro-Communications' technology licensing body and a Huis Ten Bosch subsidiary.
The company was quoted on China's NEEQ (New Third Board) in 2017 under code 871049, completed a Series A round in 2017 and a Series A+ round in 2021 or 2022. It was named a national-level specialised and sophisticated Little Giant enterprise in 2024, holds CE, FCC and Japan Telec certifications for its products, and is one of the main drafters of the Chinese national standard for food delivery service robots, GB/T 37395-2019. Its current address is No. 83 Suhong West Road, Wuzhong District, Suzhou, in the China-Singapore embodied-intelligence industrial park.
