Openmind (Wuhu) Intelligent Robotics Co., Ltd. was established in the first half of 2024 as a joint venture headquartered in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China. The venture was co-founded by EFORT Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd. (listed on the STAR Market under code 688165), together with China's National Advanced Manufacturing Industry Investment Fund and the Wuhu Science and Technology Innovation Fund. EFORT itself traces its roots to Wuhu Chery Equipment Co., Ltd., was founded in 2007, and has grown into one of China's leading industrial robot manufacturers, reporting cumulative deliveries of more than 100,000 robots.

Openmind's stated mission is to build an open, intelligent technology foundation for robot manufacturers and robot end users, focusing on the intelligence and openness of robotic systems rather than on manufacturing robot hardware directly. Its two publicly disclosed development programs are a humanoid robot prototype, which the company targeted for release in the first half of 2025, and a dexterous-hand project that was undergoing component-level testing as of the most recent public update. Because Openmind has no independent corporate website, its public information is hosted on the website of its parent company, EFORT.
