Ninety System Co., Ltd. is a small Seoul engineering company, founded in December 2001, that writes measurement, robot-programming and robot-control software and builds the controllers and positioning hardware to go with it. It is based in Byeoksan Digital Valley I in Guro-gu, Seoul. Its longest-running customer is Samsung Electronics, which has bought its real-time 3D mould measurement system since 2003.
That measurement product, OMM (On Machine Measuring), checks machined parts on the CNC machine itself instead of moving them to a coordinate measuring machine. For milling and machining centres it uses a touch probe with OMM/M software on a PC; for EDM it uses a vision system with OMM/EDM software. Functions cover probe calibration, datum setting, measuring sequences, CNC and macro code generation, CAD interface, 3D view, simulation and SPC reporting. The system was also supplied to the Japanese machine-tool maker Sodick in 2017-18, and in 2025 the company began supplying Samsung with an automatic inspection solution for mould machining.
The robotics work runs in parallel. A multi-robot positioning system, developed from 2004, fuses ultrasonic time-of-flight ranging with RF synchronisation across beacons and tags to track five or more robots at once to within 20 centimetres, updating once a second over a standard 5 x 5 x 2 metre cell that can be extended by adding beacons. Robocam imports CAD data, generates robot paths with entry angle and tool options, links to the robot maker's offline programming software, simulates for collisions and downloads the program, aimed at high-mix, low-volume cells. The company also develops robot controller hardware and software for mobile and articulated robots; examples include a four-axis meal-assistance robot, a golf-ball collecting robot and an electric cart for moving livestock carcasses. It carried out a 2023 care-robot research contract for Korea's National Rehabilitation Center, and delivered an unmanned-manufacturing solution to Samsung in 2024-25.
Other lines include plant-factory monitoring software for an agricultural technology centre and FMS and equipment-monitoring software.
