Lanco Integrated designs and builds automated assembly and test systems from its headquarters in Westbrook, Maine. Its precision-engineering lineage traces to the Langendorf Watch Company, founded in Switzerland in 1873, and its automation operations to Lanco AG, established in Bellach, Switzerland, in 1980; the U.S. entity, Lanco Assembly Systems, formed in 1990 after acquiring the Nu-TEC assembly group, went through a 2001 management buyout, and became a 100 percent employee-owned company through an ESOP in 2009. The global brand was unified under the Lanco name in 2016.
Lanco operates facilities in Westbrook, Maine, Germany, and Penang, Malaysia (relocated from Hong Kong in 2021), and has delivered more than 8,000 systems to customers in over 30 countries. Its work spans custom assembly lines from manual to fully automated, machine-vision and leak-testing inspection stations, robotic pick-and-place cells for small parts, part feeding, and a proprietary pallet transfer system moving parts between stations at rates of up to 360 parts per minute.
The company serves automotive, aerospace and defense, medical device, electronics, and consumer products manufacturers, and holds ITAR registration and CMMC alignment.
