Inovance (Shenzhen Inovance Technology Co., Ltd., stock code 300124) is China's largest industrial automation company and its second-largest domestic producer of industrial robots. The company was founded in April 2003 in Shenzhen by Zhu Xingming and a group of engineers who had previously worked at Huawei, earning it the industry nickname 'Little Huawei.' Its headquarters are located at Building E, Hongwei Industrial Park, Liuxian 2nd Road, Baocheng 70th Zone, Bao'an District, Shenzhen 518101, China. The company is publicly listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Inovance operates across five business divisions: industrial automation (drives, PLCs, servos), elevator systems, New Energy Vehicles (EV drives and controllers), industrial robotics, and railway vehicle systems. This breadth gives the company exposure to major segments of the global industrial economy. Revenue grew from CNY 159 million in 2007 to CNY 37 billion in 2024, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of approximately 40% over 17 years.
In the robotics segment, Inovance produces articulated 6-axis robots (IR-R series, including IR-R4, IR-R20) and SCARA robots (IR-S series, including IR-S7, IR-S50). The IR-R20 6-axis robot, for example, offers a maximum reach of 1,723 mm and a payload of 20 kg. The IR-S50 SCARA robot handles payloads up to 50 kg with a reach of 1,200 mm.
In 2024, Inovance launched its articulated and SCARA robot ranges in European markets at the SPS exhibition in Nuremberg. The company has international operations with offices and facilities in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, India, South Korea, and China. Inovance also co-launched the 'Supply Chain ESG Stewardship Initiative' (SCSI) with 12 other major companies, emphasizing sustainability.
As of 2024, the company estimates that the cumulative use of its products has avoided 14.44 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions.
