GLOBAL Automation Technologies (GAT) is a U.S.-based robotic system integration and technical staffing company founded in 2009 in Michigan by co-founder and CEO Shawn Rimmell. Headquartered at 900 N Squirrel Road, Suite 101, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326, GAT has expanded over 18+ years to operate across four countries and has worked in 22 countries, with a team of 110+ members. The company operates two complementary divisions: an Engineering division and a Staffing division.
The Engineering division provides end-to-end robotic automation services including process study, project management, engineering and mechanical design, robot simulation, robotics integration and programming, controls engineering (PLC, SCADA, IoT), machine vision integration, build and integration, installation and commissioning, training, technical documentation, health assessments, and ongoing support. The Staffing division places controls engineers, PLC programmers, robotics technicians, electrical designers, project managers, commissioning engineers, and robot programmers on contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placement. GAT is an authorized System Integrator for FANUC robots in the USA (since 2016) and in South Africa (since 2020) and primarily uses FANUC robot platforms in its integration work.
