Brokk AB is a Swedish manufacturer of remote-controlled electric demolition robots, founded in 1976 in Skelleftea, Sweden. Brothers Lars and Per-Martin Holmgren built the company's first machine to clean lead furnaces at the Ronnskar smelter, and the design became the basis for a compact demolition-robot category that did not previously exist. The company marks its 50th year of operation in 2026.
The current SmartPower+ line covers seven electric models, from the Brokk 70+ up to the Brokk 500+, alongside older Brokk 70, 170, 200, 300, 500, 520D, 900 and 900 Rotoboom units and pedestal-boom variants of the 200, 300, 500 and 900. Machines run on interchangeable attachments, including concrete crushers, grapples, breakers and metal shears, letting one base unit switch tasks in confined or hazardous areas by remote control. The Brokk Descaler addresses furnace and vessel cleaning, the application the company's first robot was built for. Customers span construction, demolition, tunneling, mining, cement, metal processing, nuclear decommissioning, and security and rescue work.
Brokk sells through subsidiaries, distributors and agents across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania, and runs Brokk Academy for operator training. Third-party business data lists annual revenue near 96.5 million dollars and a workforce of 51 to 200 employees.
