"Quality growers use Quality tools!"
Belgian maker of greenhouse logistics equipment, including Qii-Drive wire-guided AGV harvest carts, Qii-Jet spraying robots and pipe-rail trolleys.
Bogaerts Greenhouse Logistics (BGL) is a Belgian manufacturer of machines and logistic systems for professional greenhouse horticulture, based in Hoogstraten, near the Dutch border in one of Belgium's largest horticultural regions. The company started in the early 1990s when Joris Bogaerts built his first pipe-rail cart with double hydraulic scissors, followed by a first order for 13 carts. It has operated from Hoogstraten since 1998, on a site of almost 10,000 square metres with in-house manufacturing including a welding robot, and has a North American office in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada.
The product range covers rolling stock for crop work, harvest carts, spraying carts, product handling systems for packing halls and turnkey logistic and harvest automation, serving tomato, pepper, strawberry, eggplant, cucumber and flower growers worldwide. Automated products are grouped under the Qii-Drive line. The Qii-Drive Flower is an automatic guided harvesting cart with a flower frame: it follows an inductive wire, stops at obstacles or fixed stop points, travels at adjustable speed up to 110 m/min, moves smoothly from pipe rail to concrete path, and has front and rear safety bumpers and traffic control between machines. The Qii-Drive Fust is an AGV for eggplant harvesting, and the Qii-Drive Shift is a further variant. The Qii-Jet range comprises spraying carts and robots, including the Qii-Jet HMV with hose reel and the Qii-Jet TAV 343 and TAH 343 Foldable; the company has also launched a Spot Spray Unit. Other products include the Qii-Lift C harvest cart with bottom-unloading container, Qii-Lift H, Qii-Pal S, the Qii-Go horticultural tow truck, the EASii-Clean, a gutter cleaner and Flexbar.
BGL offers modular concepts and custom machine solutions, and provides installation (including induction wires), service, maintenance, a helpdesk and spare parts. Octiva has cited Bogaerts as a partner in developing pipe-rail operation for its greenhouse robots.
