Shanghai eVTOL developer of the two-ton-class CarryAll cargo aircraft, the first 1+ tonne eVTOL to obtain China's full airworthiness certification.
AutoFlight (Shanghai Autoflight Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese aviation-technology company specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of autonomous flight and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Founded in 2017 by Tian Yu and headquartered in Shanghai, AutoFlight develops both autonomous cargo eVTOLs and passenger air-taxi aircraft.
Its flagship product is the two-ton-class Prosperity platform and its autonomous cargo variant, the V2000CG CarryAll. The V2000CG CarryAll is recognized as the only eVTOL globally with a maximum takeoff weight exceeding one tonne to have obtained all three required Chinese aviation certificates: the type certificate, the production certificate, and the airworthiness certificate. In August 2025, AutoFlight delivered the world's first eVTOL aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight exceeding one ton.
The company has demonstrated milestone operations including an autonomous cargo eVTOL flight at Shanghai Pudong airport, long-range mountainous logistics deliveries (around 200 km capability with vertical landing), and offshore rig delivery missions. AutoFlight operates a global footprint, with a research-and-development center serving as its European headquarters in Augsburg, Germany, a composite-material manufacturing plant in Jining, Shandong province, and an operations and test center in Napa County, USA. The company is backed by German investment group Team Global. AutoFlight's lift-and-cruise eVTOL architecture targets low-altitude logistics, urban and intercity air mobility, and emergency and special-environment delivery, positioning the company among the leading developers of certified heavy-lift cargo eVTOL aircraft.

AutoFlight's V2000CG CarryAll has achieved a significant milestone by receiving a Validated Type Certificate (VTC) in Indonesia, marking it as the first electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to obtain such certification outside of its home country. This certification, formally issued by Indonesia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), verifies that the V2000CG meets the airworthiness standards set by both the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and the Indonesian aviation authority. This development underscores the growing international recognition and compliance of innovative aviation technologies, paving the way for broader acceptance and integration of eVTOL aircraft in global airspace.
