AIR VEV Ltd (branded AIR) is an Israeli aerospace company based in Pardes Hanna that develops electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for the consumer market and for cargo and defense missions. Originally founded as Polarity Mobility, the company was established around 2017-2018 by CTO Chen Rosen, with the leadership team later joined by CEO Rani Plaut and COO Netanel Goldberg. Its flagship product, AIR ONE, is a sporty two-seat personal eVTOL designed for individual ownership and intended for the FAA Light Sport Aircraft category (certification pending) and the FAA MOSAIC rule framework. AIR ONE uses the company's patented aerodynamic wing-rotor topology, which generates up to 60% of lift from the wing without a tilt or push motor, and a patented Fly-By-Intent control system that lets the pilot point a joystick in the intended direction while the aircraft stabilizes itself and scans for hazards. The design uses only eight critical moving parts, folds for transport by a single person in five minutes, and charges from 0-100% in about one hour using DC fast charging. AIR ONE carries up to 250 kg (550 lb) of payload, has roughly one hour of flight time, and features energy-absorbing bucket seats.
The company also developed an unmanned cargo eVTOL with a 24.6 ft (7.5 m) wingspan, 70 cubic feet cargo bay, up to 250 kg payload, 100-mile range and one-hour endurance for logistics, medevac, humanitarian and defense use. AIR received an FAA airworthiness certificate, launched US flight operations in Florida, established a US facility, and began production at a plant in Israel.
