Zhejiang Founder Motor Co., Ltd. (Founder Motor / FDM) is a publicly listed company on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (code 002196), founded in 1995 and headquartered in Lishui, Zhejiang Province. It is a leading supplier of new-energy-vehicle (NEV) drive motors, micro-motors, controllers and automotive control systems, and has diversified into sewing-machine motors, automotive seat motors, automotive electronics, home appliances, robotic joints and low-altitude economy applications. The Micro Motor division produces DC, AC and BLDC motors and holds roughly an 85% global market share in multifunctional household sewing-machine motors, supplying customers such as SINGER, JOHNSON, TTI, BROTHER and JANOME. Its Electric Drive division ranks among the top three in China's NEV drive-motor industry, supplying Volkswagen, SAIC-GM, Leapmotor, Li Auto, NIO, XPeng, Geely and others, with mass production of hairpin motors. Through wholly owned subsidiaries Shenzhen Gold Corolla Electronics (motor drive control, lithium battery management and intelligent controllers) and Shanghai High Energy Auto Electronic (engine and new-energy electronic control), Founder Motor spans motor manufacturing, power electronics and control systems.
The company operates manufacturing bases in Lishui, Deqing, Shenzhen and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, plus R&D centers in Lishui and Shanghai. Its electronics operations are certified to ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. Founder Motor is actively expanding its motion-and-actuation portfolio into robotic joints and electric aircraft propulsion, leveraging its drive-motor and electronic-control expertise for emerging robotics and low-altitude markets.
