Company Overview

Vyriy Industries, also known as Vyriy Drone, is a Ukrainian defence-tech company that develops and mass-produces FPV strike drones and related unmanned systems for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. On its website, the company dates its work with the military to the first months of the full-scale invasion in 2022. It says it moved to mass production of FPV drones over 2022 to 2023, and that more than 200 Ukrainian Defense Forces units now use its products. It also says it accounts for about 30% of FPV orders on Ukraine's DOT-Chain and Brave1 Market procurement platforms. Founder, owner and CEO Oleksii Babenko has estimated the company's share of Ukraine's FPV market at about 5%. Press reports put its 2024 revenue at about UAH 1 billion. The company is hiring in Kyiv, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Rivne and Brovary, and DOU lists 800 to 1,500 specialists.

Vyriy is best known for localizing the FPV supply chain. It began replacing imported parts in 2023 and reached about 70% localization in serial-production drones by mid-2024. It assembled its first FPV quadcopter built entirely from Ukrainian components in December 2024. In March 2025 it presented a first serial batch of 1,000 FPV drones made only from domestic parts, which it describes as the first serial production of such attack drones in Ukraine. The company makes its own frames, flight controllers, ESCs, ELRS antennas and the Popcorn initiation board. Ukrainian suppliers provide motors, video transmitters and thermal cameras, including Odd Systems' Kurbas-256. The company says about 80% of its product ecosystem is now based on Ukrainian solutions.

The current lineup on the company website falls into several groups:

  • FPV copters: Vyriy 10, Vyriy 10 OPTO, Vyriy 15 and Vyriy 15 OPTO.
  • Slavic: a multirotor reconnaissance and fire-correction UAV launched in September 2026 as an alternative to Chinese commercial quadcopters. The company lists a tactical range of up to 30 km, a maximum range of 60 km, up to 1.5 hours of endurance, a 2K camera with 10x optical and 30x hybrid zoom, a two-way digital link and GPS-denied optical navigation.
  • Fixed-wing UAVs: Sokil, a hand-launched low-cost reconnaissance aircraft, and Veresen, a twin-engine catapult-launched aircraft developed with the 20th K-2 Brigade. Veresen can carry two FPV drones and relay their signal, or act as a strike drone with up to 4 kg of payload over about 75 km.
  • Communications and relay products: Baybak, Terra Scream, Mara Lite, Mara PRO, Mara Plus and Vyriy 19.
  • The Blyskavka strike UAV, added in July 2025, and the Dzhankoi UGV line, announced in June 2025 and listed as coming soon.

In August 2026 the Inzhur MilTech fund began raising money from Ukrainian retail investors to buy corporate bonds issued by Vyriy Industries. The company says this brought in UAH 1 billion in private investment, and press reports describe it as the first defence-tech financing of its kind in Ukraine. Vyriy also runs Vyriy Tech School, a free short training course that can lead to employment.
