Beijing Vizum Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., known by the brand Vizum (Chinese: Weijing Intelligence), is a machine-vision company headquartered in Beijing, founded around 2016 by Dr. Dong Xiaojian, who serves as chief executive. The company builds stereoscopic 3D vision systems for industrial automation and has more recently extended its work into humanoid robot perception.
Its main product is the ViEye series of 3D line-laser cameras, combining stereo vision with static and dynamic imaging in a housing built to withstand arc light, sunlight, and reflective or curved metal, with a point-cloud count up to 4,096 points per line and a scan rate up to 6,000 lines per second. The ViEye 2.0 adds seam tracking and RGB imaging; the ViEye Pro adds melt-pool inspection for welding. The Tiger/MH software handles seam recognition, path editing, and point-cloud fusion for welding cells; a separate platform provides pose estimation and hand-eye calibration for pick-and-place tasks. Applications include robotic welding in steel plants, factory grasping, and coal-flow measurement on conveyor belts.
Vizum holds more than 180 patents, including over 80 invention patents, raised across at least three rounds since a 2016 seed round. It is designated a National High-Tech Enterprise and presents at events including Vision China and the World Robot Conference.
