TDK SensEI Pte. Ltd. is a venture company established by TDK Corporation in July 2024 to commercialize edge AI and sensor fusion technologies for Industry 4.0 applications. The flagship product, edgeRX, is an out-of-the-box industrial machine health monitoring platform composed of the edgeRX LYNQ wireless sensor node and an edgeRX Gateway. The LYNQ sensor continuously collects vibration and temperature data, while an ARM Cortex-based edge processor runs on-device AI and ML algorithms to identify subtle patterns indicating equipment degradation. The Gateway connects via 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, and BLE 5.0, forwarding insights to the cloud-based edgeRX Platform, which provides real-time analytics, customizable dashboards, and automated alerts. The system requires no data-science background and was deployed in over 100 factories during its soft launch. Customers purchase the hardware once and subscribe to a multi-year software agreement.
Beyond edgeRX, TDK SensEI's AutoML software platform enables engineers to build, train, and deploy machine learning models through a web-based interface, covering data collection, preprocessing, feature extraction, and model training without writing code. The company also offers a computer vision inspection solution capable of detecting defects as small as 0.5 mm x 1 mm at throughput rates of up to 2,000 parts per minute on production lines. TDK SensEI collaborated with Doosan Robotics on an AI-powered recycling sorting robot recognized as a 2024 CES Innovation Award honoree. The edgeRX platform was named a 2026 Industrial IoT Product of the Year by IoT Evolution, underscoring the company's rapid commercial traction.
