ScaliRo GmbH is a software company founded in April 2020 in Rosenheim, Bavaria, Germany, by Florian Koester, Tim Nowak and Patrick Burkart. The founders previously worked at serva transport systems GmbH, an AGV startup whose customers included Daimler, Audi and Porsche, where they identified a critical gap: planning errors in AGV projects routinely caused high costs and schedule overruns.
ScaliRo's flagship product is FleetEngine, a vendor-independent platform for planning, simulation and visualization of mobile robot fleets. FleetEngine supports the industry-standard VDA 5050 V2.0 communication interface, enabling fleet managers to connect heterogeneous robots from different manufacturers through a single neutral layer. The platform is standards-compliant with VDA 5050 and LIF (Layout Interchange Format), making it future-proof for multi-vendor deployments.
FleetEngine provides three core functional modules: (1) Planning — layout-based route and traffic planning for new or existing facilities; (2) Simulation — virtual commissioning and throughput analysis before hardware is ordered; (3) Visualization — real-time monitoring dashboards for live fleet operations. This allows customers to size their fleets correctly, identify bottlenecks before go-live, and continuously optimize throughput without purchasing additional robots.
The company addresses a market of intralogistics operators deploying AGVs and AMRs in warehouses, distribution centers and manufacturing plants. Notable customers and partners include SAFELOG, TGW Logistics, SICK AG, DÜRR and SYNAOS, which announced a strategic partnership with ScaliRo to simplify mobile robot deployment.
As of 2024, ScaliRo has approximately six employees and operates from Eduard-Rüber-Straße 7, 83022 Rosenheim, Germany. The company has not raised external funding rounds and operates as a bootstrapped venture. ScaliRo presented FleetEngine at LogiMAT for the first time and has participated in research projects with TH Rosenheim University (FLEET project, started December 2021).
