RobotLAB Inc.

RobotLAB Inc. is a United States commercial robotics dealer and integrator headquartered in Southlake, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It buys service robots from a wide set of manufacturers, deploys and programmes them on customer sites, trains the staff who will use them, and keeps them running afterwards. The company markets itself as America's largest commercial robotics integrator and is explicit that it does not want to be read as a box-shifting reseller, describing its work as walking the customer's floor, mapping the workflow, deploying and programming every robot and training the team.

It was founded in 2007 by Elad Inbar, originally in Israel and under the name RobotsLAB, as the education arm of Robot App Store. It moved to San Francisco in 2011, renamed itself RobotLAB Inc., and later relocated to Texas. Inbar remains founder and chief executive, with Priscilla Eklund as chief operating officer and Anna Sandler as chief technology officer. Its early identity was in education technology: it won Robotic Business Review's Game Changer Award for education in 2013, the Gates Foundation-backed LAUNCHedu competition and Kaplan's EdTech Accelerator award in 2014 for STEM-BOT 3D, and an Inc. 5000 placement in 2016. It became a distributor for SoftBank's Pepper, NAO and Whiz robots in 2021 and introduced a franchise model in 2023.

That franchise structure is the unusual part of its business. Rather than opening company branches, RobotLAB sells territory franchises: it reports more than twenty franchise locations covering metros including Arlington, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Miami and Portland, with roughly ninety territories enrolled, and it states an ambition of national coverage. The Southlake site holds executive operations, engineering, customer success, repair labs and franchise training, and the company cites more than twenty local service centres and round-the-clock support.

Its catalogue spans roughly twenty-two manufacturers. Cleaning robots come from Gausium, Pudu, LionsBot, Karcher, CenoBots, Cleanfix, SoftBank and LG. Delivery and front-of-house robots come from Bear Robotics, Keenon, Pudu and LG. Humanoid and social robots include NAO and Pepper, UBTech Cruzr and Walker, the Darwin series and Furhat. Research and industrial platforms include AgileX mobile bases, Dobot arms including the CR5 and MG400, and Blueye underwater ROVs, with drones from Vision Aerial and Robolink and autonomy software from Cyngn. The education range carries Cubelets, Dash and Dot, Ozobot, Firia Labs, Marty and Robolink kits. Alongside the third-party lines it sells its own branded items: the ServeSwift delivery robot, the Robot-On-Call summoning smartwatch, and packaged RobotLAB STEM, AI, CTE and maker-station labs for schools and colleges. Commercially it offers outright purchase, lease and robot-as-a-service subscriptions, plus fleet monitoring, nationwide maintenance and repair.

For a robotics supply chain RobotLAB is a route to market for service-robot makers wanting United States distribution, and a single point of contact for an operator who wants a cleaning, delivery or reception robot installed and supported rather than bought. Its declared customer base is commercial and institutional only, across hospitality, healthcare, education, warehousing, retail, restaurants and government; it explicitly does not serve personal or home use.
