READY Robotics, founded in 2016 in Columbus, Ohio and born from robotics research at Johns Hopkins University, developed ForgeOS—an industrial operating system enabling manufacturers to deploy and program robots from multiple brands through a single standardized low-code interface. ForgeOS addressed the fragmentation of robot programming languages, reducing deployment time and training requirements. The company also offered READY Cells (robot-agnostic palletizing solutions) distributed by Rockwell Automation, and READY Academy online training for manufacturing professionals.
READY Robotics raised venture funding and grew to serve industrial manufacturers before ceasing operations in August 2024 when a late-stage funding round failed. Its software IP, patents, and trademarks were subsequently acquired by Standard Bots to power cross-brand robot programming.
