PLEASANTON, CA — June 9, 2026 — OMRON Robotics will demonstrate the next generation of its flagship LD Series autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) — the LD-150 and LD-300 — at Automate 2026, taking place June 22–25 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Visitors to booth #3080 will see the new AMRs operating live in material transport applications.

Expected to begin shipping in Q4 2026, the LD-150 and LD-300 bring higher payload capacity, advanced safety features, and significant performance enhancements to the LD Series platform — all within compact footprints designed for high-throughput operations in constrained factory and logistics spaces.

Unlike traditional automated guided vehicles (AGVs) or fixed-path systems, the new LD Series AMRs adapt dynamically to changing layouts, personnel, and workflows — enabling operations teams to reduce manual transport, improve material flow, and scale automation without major infrastructure changes.

“Manufacturers are under pressure to move materials faster while adapting to labor constraints, changing layouts and rising throughput demands. The LD-150 and LD-300 give customers a more flexible AMR platform for heavier transport tasks in tighter spaces, with fast wireless charging and OMRON FLOW Core integration to simplify deployment and mixed-fleet management.”
 — Justin King, Vice President of Product Management, Marketing and Business Development, OMRON Robotics

Built for Higher-Throughput Material Transport

The expanded LD Series lineup adds new performance, uptime, navigation, and fleet integration capabilities for demanding production environments:

  • Compact, high-payload design: Up to 150 kg payload in a 500 mm-wide footprint (LD-150); up to 300 kg in a 580 mm-wide footprint (LD-300).

  • Higher transport availability: Speeds up to 2.1 m/s combined with wireless inductive charging in 30 minutes or less for minimal downtime.

  • Built for changing environments: Compact navigation with support for facility transitions including 5-degree grade ramps.

  • Integrated for safe scalability: Up to 360-degree safety scanner coverage, ISO 3691-4:2023 compliance, and native support for OMRON FLOW Core software — enabling mixed-fleet management alongside existing LD Series and other OMRON mobile robots.

End-to-End Automation from a Single Partner

Beyond the new AMR hardware, Automate 2026 visitors will see how OMRON’s combined automation portfolio connects mobile robotics, machine control, vision, safety, and operational data into integrated production environments. Partner demonstrations with ROEQ and NORD Modules will highlight how AMRs, topper solutions, and supporting technologies come together for real manufacturing and logistics workflows.

Featured solutions on display at Booth #3080:

  • Application-ready AMR demonstrations with topper solutions for material transport and handling.

  • Sysmac platform connectivity unifying robotics, vision, safety, and production data across automation systems.

  • VHV5 Vision System and MTC demonstrations covering advanced inspection, quality control, and proof of performance.

  • DX100 and video-based displays highlighting data collection, predictive maintenance, operational optimization, IT/OT integration, and AI-supported decision-making.
