Company Overview

Picker AgRobotics Ltd. is an Israeli agricultural robotics startup founded in February 2025 and based in Migdal HaEmek in northern Israel. It develops a long-reach, flexible robotic arm for harvesting fruit in existing orchards, targeting citrus and subtropical crops; training has focused on avocado, with oranges, lemons, pears and apples planned next.

The arm is a lightweight hollow composite structure that mounts on or is towed behind existing farm equipment, so growers do not need conveyors or a dedicated autonomous vehicle. Instead of a gripper, its proprietary Snip-N-Roll mechanism cuts the fruit stem at the arm tip and lets the fruit roll down through the hollow arm into the grower's collection bin. AI vision models detect fruit and make per-fruit decisions on ripeness, size and quality, and the system produces tree-level data on what was picked and what remains. The company says one tractor driver or one autonomous carrier could run four or five units, and that it targets about 95% of the fruit on a tree. The company describes the arm as a 5-metre composite structure and quotes a reach of up to 4 metres.

Picker estimates that harvest labour accounts for up to about 40% of growers' annual costs and claims its system can cut that cost by up to 50% compared with manual picking; for citrus in California's Central Valley it quotes a target of about USD 20 per 900 lb bin against roughly USD 25 by hand. Four prototype generations had been built by mid-2026, with testing in orchards near its office. Customer pilots were scheduled to start in January 2027, with six units planned for that year in Israel and California, with Spain also under consideration, under a leasing-first business model.

The team is led by co-founder and CEO Yossi Rosenblum and co-founder and CTO Shachar Adar, with staff covering perception, motion planning and control, integration, mechanical engineering and agronomy. The company raised a USD 3.55 million seed round in May 2025 led by Cresson Management and received a USD 1.65 million non-equity grant from the Israel Innovation Authority in August 2025.
