"Built to Paint. Designed to Lead."
Singapore developer of the MYRO autonomous interior wall-painting robot, rated up to 100 m2/h on walls up to 3.1 m, used in Dubai towers.
MYRO International is a Singapore-based robotics company that develops and markets MYRO, an autonomous robot for spray-painting interior walls on construction and fit-out projects. The company is part of Mojay Global Holding Limited, a private investment company headquartered in Dubai, and runs a Dubai branch in the Jebel Ali Industrial area alongside its registered office at Peninsula Plaza on North Bridge Road in Singapore. Arab News has described MYRO International as a distributor of robotic products and automation solutions for the construction, painting and coating sectors.
The MYRO robot drives itself through apartments and offices using LiDAR and other sensors to navigate and avoid collisions, and sprays paint onto walls up to 3.1 m high. Operators use a mobile app to define the floor plan, the work areas and the zones to avoid. The company rates the robot at up to 100 m2 per hour, compared with about 10 m2 per hour for manual painting, with a set-up time of 15 to 20 minutes and clean-up of 20 to 30 minutes, and says it can run around the clock. Based on earlier projects, it claims about 30% material savings from precise application, 70% lower operating costs and 60% faster completion, and positions the robot as working alongside human painters rather than replacing them. Independent coverage notes that it works best on large, regular wall surfaces, while architectural details and irregular surfaces remain harder.
MYRO's timeline lists a launch in Hyderabad, India, in 2019, a debut at GITEX Technology Week in Dubai in 2021, a Brazil demonstration and Rio de Janeiro launch in 2022, a presentation at the CSCEC Middle East technical conference in 2023 and ALEC Innovation Day in 2024. In February 2022 Arab News reported a stage-one trial on Emaar Properties' Forte residential tower in Downtown Dubai, after earlier testing at a villa compound in Dubai Hills Estate; the robot painted about 1,000 sq ft an hour, so that an apartment that takes up to four man-days by hand could be painted in four hours. The company also cites a Jotun demonstration at Nakheel housing and names developers, contractors and partners including Sobha Realty, Tata Housing, Oberoi Realty, ALEC Engineering, Cyrela, Directional Engenharia, Grupo Laguna, LSH Hotels, Riva, Yoshii Mobility, L&T Energy and the paint maker Jotun, spanning the Gulf, India, Brazil and Japan. Renewable Matter featured the robot in late 2025 as one of the first internal wall-painting robots on the market.
