Meltio is a Spanish metal additive manufacturing company founded in 2019 in Linares, Jaén, by Ángel Llavero. The company develops and manufactures wire-laser Directed Energy Deposition (DED) systems that use metallic wire feedstock melted by proprietary laser diode printheads to build or repair metal parts layer by layer. Products include the Meltio M450, M600 industrial 3D printers, and the Meltio Engine Blue — a printhead module integrable into robotic arms and CNC machines.
Meltio has sold more than 650 systems worldwide and employs over 130 people, exporting approximately 95% of its output. The company has received validation from the US Navy, French Navy, and Spanish armed forces. It won the 2024 3DPI Award for Enterprise 3D Printer of the Year (Metals), becoming the first Spanish metal 3D printing company to earn this international award.
