Meinong Robot Co., Limited is an agricultural robotics company founded in 2023 and headquartered at Hong Kong Science Park in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, with a test centre in Shenzhen. It joined the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks incubation programme in January 2024 and moved into the park on 5 February 2024. Founder Deyong Li (Devin Lee) previously held senior technical roles at Huawei, working on HarmonyOS communications and vision, and at Honor.
The product line covers a vine-fruit harvesting robot for grapes, kiwifruit and passion fruit grown on trellises, pergolas or in greenhouses, including a wine-grape version; a tree-fruit harvesting robot for apples, pears, citrus, mango and avocado; an agricultural transport robot for farms, orchards and vegetable bases; and a four-wheel-drive, four-wheel-steer robot chassis rated for a 250 kg vertical payload on level ground. An orchard inspection robot is listed but not yet released, and pruning, thinning, packing and spraying robots are on the roadmap. Company news announced a greenhouse Hami melon picking robot in May 2026 and a persimmon-picking robot in September 2026. Company-stated performance figures are harvest efficiency of 6-10 times manual work, more than 50% lower labour dependence and fruit damage below 5%.
Meinong reports machines in service in Turpan, Xinjiang, and applications in Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangsu and Queensland, Australia, with expansion targeted at Spain, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. Partnerships include a wine-grape technology cooperation agreement with a chateau under Changyu, a joint exhibit with Yuchai Precision at CAEXPO, a training base in Shanshan, Xinjiang, and exchanges with the CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute. The company placed third in the 2025 Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and third among more than 450 entrants in the 2026 Saudi Arabia-Hong Kong LEAP East startup competition.
