"To a flexible world."
Japanese robotics firm developing the common mobile base unit with swappable sensors for the NEDO-funded Takenaka construction robot platform.
JIZAIE, Inc. is a Japanese technology company led by Representative Director and CEO Junki Nakagawa. Its official website describes a mission of building a platform, based on its own technology, that unlocks individual potential so that anyone can work beyond the limits of time and place; its tagline is "To a flexible world."
In construction robotics, JIZAIE is one of six companies in a research and development project announced in September 2025 to build a common software development platform for construction robots. The project is commissioned by Japan's New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) under its Post-5G information and communication systems program, is planned for fiscal 2025 to 2027, and is led by Takenaka Corporation drawing on the Construction RX Consortium, which had more than 300 member companies in August 2025. The other partners are Kudan (localization and multi-robot coordination software), Asratec (communications combining 5G, Wi-Fi and mesh networking), Akari (virtual pre-testing linked to BIM/CIM data) and SENSYN ROBOTICS (multi-robot operations management).
JIZAIE leads the hardware work package. It is developing a common mobile unit that can serve different construction tasks, such as material transport, fireproofing spray, surveying and cleaning, together with a standardized structure that lets sensors and control devices be attached and swapped easily. The aim is for robot makers and system integrators to build task-specific construction robots on a shared base instead of developing each machine from scratch, cutting development and operating costs at a time of severe labor shortage in Japanese construction.
