HD Hyundai's construction-equipment holding company, developer of the XiteCloud smart construction platform and remote-controlled excavator solutions.
HD Hyundai XiteSolution Co., Ltd. (Korean name HD Hyundai Site Solution) is the intermediate holding company for the HD Hyundai group's construction-equipment business. It was established on 19 January 2021 under the name Hyundai Genuine and is unlisted. Its head office is on the 13th floor of the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center (GRC), 477 Bundangsuseo-ro, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do. According to Korean reference sources it held roughly one-third stakes in both HD Hyundai Construction Equipment (33.12%) and HD Hyundai Infracore (32.98%), the group's two excavator and wheel-loader makers; the equipment makers now trade as HD Construction Equipment Co., Ltd., with brands HD Hyundai and DEVELON. XiteSolution is not itself the excavator manufacturer: it builds industrial vehicles (forklifts, tow tractors and carriers) and supplies hydraulic and drivetrain components such as main control valves, swing and travel motors, hydraulic cylinders, main pumps, transmissions, drive axles and drive units.
Construction automation. The company's construction technology is delivered through XiteCloud, which it describes as an all-in-one smart construction platform that digitises job sites, integrates drone survey data, supports design and construction management, provides integrated control of construction equipment, and serves as the base for the phased commercialisation of automation and unmanned-machine technology. A companion product, XiteSafety, a construction site safety management platform, received a CES 2023 Innovation Award, and the company won a top innovation award at the 2024 Smart Construction Challenge run by Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. It has signed smart-construction partnerships with SK Ecoplant (2021) and Samsung C&T (2022).
In November 2025 XiteSolution and POSCO E&C carried out what they described as Korea's first field demonstration of a remote-controlled excavator, at the Hwatae-Baekya road project in Yeosu, South Jeolla. XiteSolution supplied the remote-controlled excavator and control system; the operator worked from a site office about 5 km away. The machine used a 360-degree around-view camera, proximity radar, warning lights, an AI voice warning and automatic shutdown when a person enters a set radius, and was used for hazardous tasks such as breaker work. The partners reported earlier long-distance remote-operation trials between the US and Korea and between Germany and Korea, and plan to seek inclusion of the method in Korea's smart construction standard specifications.
