"Engineered in Florida. Flown Worldwide."
Casselberry, Florida drone maker building NDAA-compliant heavy-lift, hybrid, hydrogen and tethered multirotors; its Carrier H6HL lifts up to 40 kg.
Harris Aerial is a Florida manufacturer of multirotor drones for heavy payloads, long endurance and tethered operation, based at 1043 Seminola Blvd in Casselberry, near Orlando. The company states that engineering and manufacturing take place in-house in the United States, using CNC milling and routing, 3D printing, injection moulds and carbon-fibre moulds, and markets its aircraft as Made in USA and compliant with Section 848 of the NDAA. Its homepage states that three of its heavy-lift models are Blue UAS Cleared and that it supplies the Department of Defense, federal agencies and defence contractors, without naming specific programmes.
The core line is the Carrier family. The Carrier H6 hexacopter comes in three power formats: H6 Electric, with 48 minutes of flight on 12S smart batteries and an 8 kg maximum payload; H6 Hybrid EFI, which uses a two-stroke fuel-injected generator producing 2.4 kW for up to 240 minutes of flight with 5 kg; and H6 Hydrone, a hydrogen fuel-cell version rated at 180 minutes with 5 kg. All H6 variants share dual RTK GNSS, triple-redundant IMUs, an IP43 weather rating and a 15 m/s top speed. The Carrier H6HL is the heavy-lift model, lifting up to 40 kg on six 40-inch carbon propellers with more than 300 lb of thrust; it weighs 55 kg empty, has a 95 kg maximum take-off weight and flies 48 minutes unloaded or 15 minutes at full payload. The Carrier HX8 is a coaxial X8 airframe built for motor redundancy, and the Carrier HX8 Tether pairs it with a LEAP Solo 5K tether system supplying 5 kW of shore, generator or vehicle power and up to 30 Gbps over fibre, allowing flights of up to 24 hours at 400 ft above ground with 9.5 kg of payload. A compact folding quadcopter, the H4C Quad, rated at 4 kg payload and 50 minutes of flight, is offered on pre-order.
Ground control products include NEXUS, C-GCS, C-NAVIGATOR and C-SRoC. Harris Aerial integrates third-party sensors including GeoCue TrueView 641 LiDAR, NextVision Nighthawk2-UZ EO/IR, Sentera 6X multispectral and 65R RGB cameras, Phoenix LiDAR RANGER units, YellowScan Venturer LiDAR, a HySpex VS-620 hyperspectral camera for mining, and SPH Engineering echo-sounder and magnetometer payloads. Target sectors include utilities and power lines, energy, surveying and mapping, coastal and shoreline monitoring, forestry and wildfire, transportation, environmental work and defence. The company also provides consultation and pilot training and runs demonstration days with survey-equipment dealer Duncan-Parnell.
In September 2026 Harris Aerial was one of three winners of the Pitch the Press competition at Commercial UAV Expo in Las Vegas.
