Hangzhou Weihai Fangzhou Technology Co., Ltd. is a small Chinese developer and manufacturer of unmanned surface vessels (USVs) and USV subsystems. It sells under the Weihai Yunzhou brand, and some research and survey models carry the Shuibo Zhizhou series name. The company is based in Xihu District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It describes itself as an integrated design, production and sales business for surface and underwater products, including underwater acoustic communication equipment, unmanned boats and underwater robots. According to the company, its R&D and management team includes graduates of Zhejiang University and Tsinghua University.
The product catalogue is arranged by mission: ocean-engineering USVs, water-quality monitoring boats, water-sampling boats, unmanned patrol boats, hydrographic survey boats, unmanned rescue boats, surface trash-collection boats and aquaculture boats. Named models include the U20 and U55 USVs, the T21 patrol USV, the B24 semi-submersible boat, a solar-powered USV, a multibeam survey boat and the W80 water-quality monitoring USV. The V82 is a monohull USV for maritime law enforcement and security, which the company says can survive sea state 5. The A30 carries side-scan sonar to find hidden underwater discharge pipes and to support underwater search and rescue. The P8 is a self-righting water-sampling USV. Its heavy components sit low in the hull so that it rights itself after capsizing, and its key electronics are rated IP67. The company says the P8 has been exported to France with CE marking and deployed on high-altitude waters in Tibet and Qinghai. Other recent releases include the R16 patrol and law-enforcement USV, delivered in Chongqing, and the H75, a large catamaran USV running the company's own control system.
For universities, the A600 is a development USV built on ROS. Its carbon-fibre hull measures 960 x 580 x 290 mm and weighs no more than 18 kg empty. It carries an 8 kg payload and draws 0.13 m. Twin embedded brushless thrusters give it a top speed of 3 to 4 m/s. Sensors include LiDAR, a stereo depth camera and BeiDou/INS navigation. The A600 supports Gazebo simulation and ships with open-source examples for waterline segmentation, floating-debris recognition and three-boat formation control. The company also sells conversion kits that turn existing inflatable boats into remote-controlled or autonomous patrol and rescue craft.
A large share of the business is components that the company makes in-house and also sells separately. The T50 series underwater thruster is rated to 300 m depth and delivers up to 16 kg of forward thrust. It weighs 350 g in water and runs on a 12 to 36 V supply. The company says the T50 is used on inland USVs as well as AUV and ROV builds. In mid-2026 it reported batch shipments of these thrusters to project customers across China. Other components include S60/S80 thrusters (among them a paddleboard propulsion unit), bidirectional brushless ESCs, lithium battery packs with a parallel balancing module, high-side electronic power switches, leak-detection sensors, single-beam echo sounders and sonar modules.
The company says it operates a site of about 10,000 square metres. This includes a 1,000 square-metre R&D and office building, about 3,000 square metres of production workshops and its own water-testing area. Customers named in its case studies are mostly Chinese public agencies, among them environmental monitoring and protection bureaus in Xuzhou, Hanzhong and Chongzhou. Other named users include water-patrol operations at Baiyang Lake in Cixi and at a Wenzhou reservoir, a law-enforcement deployment at a Shanghai airport, a forestry bureau in Huma County (Heilongjiang) and university customers. The company also takes custom orders for large patrol and rescue USVs.
