Foshan maker of rehabilitation robots: SuiHeng gait and balance robot, YiBu body-weight-support trainer and the SuiHeng Pro hip exoskeleton
Guangdong Ability Robotics Co., Ltd. (广东爱比力智能科技有限公司) builds embodied-intelligence robots for rehabilitation, nursing and elderly care, organised around what it calls human motion intelligence: reading a user's movement, intent and fall risk so the machine can assist on demand. It is based in Tian'an Center, Nanhai District, Foshan, Guangdong. The company states that its R&D team is led by senior professors and PhDs from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore working in robotics and biomedical engineering, with more than ten years of research in compliant robot control and human-robot interaction algorithms, and that their dynamic motion compensation and multimodal sensing work is built into the product line. Li Lei (李磊) leads the company in local press coverage.
Three clinical products are published. SuiHeng (随衡), a lower-limb gait and balance rehabilitation robot, holds Guangdong Class II medical device registration 粤械注准20262190065 as a walking rehabilitation trainer; it pairs a smart mobile platform that approaches and follows the patient with a compliant robotic arm giving unconstrained-hip support, built-in fall detection that intervenes only when stability drops, automatic body-weight support from light assistance to full lift, and multimodal training including ball catching, image recognition, coordination drills and somatosensory games. YiBu (逸步) is a dynamic body-weight-support gait trainer with constant-tension drive, height adjustment, smart following and wheelchair and elevator access. SuiHeng Pro (随衡 Pro) is a hip-assist exoskeleton with 40 N·m maximum instantaneous torque, dynamic gravity compensation from live sensor data, intent recognition, and inertial and torque sensors logging joint and gait data. A home series smart walking-balance robot combines an electric wheelchair mode with smart-following gait training.
The first rehabilitation robot was launched on 25 March 2025 at the 20th anniversary event of Guangdong Jianxiang Hospital Management Group.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Self-following gait and balance rehabilitation robot with a compliant support arm and on-demand fall protection
Dynamic body-weight-support gait trainer that follows the patient and holds unloading tension constant in any posture
Hip-joint assist exoskeleton for lower-limb movement disorders, tuning assistance within the gait cycle
Combined powered wheelchair and smart-following gait trainer for home and community use
