Getecha GmbH is a privately owned German mechanical engineering company established in 1956 in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, where it remains headquartered at Am Gemeindegraben 13, 63741 Aschaffenburg. The company was founded when an early German plastics manufacturer approached a technical engineering firm to design a material reclaim process for reusing scrap generated during production—an engagement that launched Getecha's specialization in granulation technology. Over more than six decades, Getecha has grown into an internationally recognized manufacturer of high-performance granulators and integrated automation systems for the plastics processing and recycling industries.
The company's RS product family covers the full spectrum of granulator types: beside-the-press granulators for in-line scrap reclaim at injection moulding machines; central granulators for batch processing of mixed production waste; heavy-duty granulators (RS 6000, RS 8000 series, with cutting circles up to 800 mm) for bulky or high-throughput applications; infeed granulators; and pre-cutters for large hollow articles that would otherwise require separate shredding steps. The automation portfolio includes complete packaging lines for bottles and jerry cans, material extraction and conveying systems, and custom turnkey automation solutions. Getecha integrates in-house design using 3D CAD and E-Plan workstations, mechanical and electrical assembly, comprehensive quality checks, and on-site commissioning—all under one roof.
The company serves processors across injection moulding, blow moulding, extrusion (film, sheet, profiles, pipes), thermoforming, and recycling sectors. International reach is supported through Getecha Inc. in the Americas and a global distributor network. The Rosenberger family has managed the business for decades, with Christine and Eva Rosenberger driving automation expansion from the late 1990s onward.
Getecha exhibits regularly at K (Düsseldorf) and Fakuma (Friedrichshafen) trade fairs and publishes technical case studies with named customer references.
