The company developed the ICARO X4, which it describes as the world's first autonomous hybrid robot for treating vineyards with UV-C rays, eliminating the need for chemical fungicides targeting Oidium (powdery mildew) and Downy mildew. The ICARO X4 is a full-hybrid, self-driving platform capable of operating day and night, with 16 individual patents covering its systems, shape, and technological solutions.
The company also produces the Leonardo X4, a self-driving robotic platform for mechanical vineyard management tasks including under-row cutting, inter-row trimming, and side-trimming. Free Green Nature is a participant in the LIFE APOLLO European sustainability research project. In November 2022, the company was acquired by and placed under the direction of Maschio Gaspardo S.p.a., a major Italian agricultural machinery manufacturer.
