"Housework is over"
Flourish, founded 2026 with staff in San Francisco and Paris, sells the USD 3,555 Flourish 1 wheeled home humanoid; 50 units ship December 2026.
Flourish Robots is a home robotics startup building Flourish 1, also reported as Flourish One, a wheeled two-armed humanoid meant to take over routine household chores. The business is incorporated as Flourish Robots Corporation in Delaware, and its small team works between San Francisco and Paris. It was founded in January 2026 by Antoine Marcel, who answers customer enquiries directly through the company site.
Flourish 1 stands 3 ft 7 in tall, weighs 44 lb and rolls on a six-wheel mobile base chosen for stability. It has two arms, each ending in a two-finger gripper with a wrist-mounted camera, a payload of 3.3 lb (1.5 kg), and reach from floor level up to 35 inches. A small lidar near the floor of the base detects obstacles, and on-board computing is based on a Raspberry Pi. The company quotes 12 hours of runtime. The first generation is not waterproof and has limited dexterity, so its intended jobs are tidying, taking out trash and basic wiping rather than washing dishes or fine manipulation.
Tasks are taught with a smartphone app. The owner moves the phone as though doing the chore, the app records the motion from the phone's inertial sensors, and the robot reproduces it; the same method allows live teleoperation. Flourish says a new chore can be taught in under 30 minutes. Skills are fine-tuned for each task and each home rather than drawn from a single generalist model, and the robot also takes voice commands and runs scheduled routines. Skill training and higher-level inference run on cloud GPUs: six months of cloud compute are included, after which an optional plan costs USD 50 per month, or owners can use their own GPU. Marcel has said that fitting an NVIDIA GPU in the robot would roughly double its cost.
The price is USD 3,555, with a fully refundable reservation deposit of USD 1,555. A first batch of 50 numbered, hand-built units is scheduled to ship in December 2026. Under the published terms of sale the robot is sold as is, without warranty, and international buyers act as importer of record. The launch drew coverage from The Robot Report, CNET, Forbes and BFM TV. No outside funding has been disclosed.
