Company Overview

DENSO Robotics is the robotics business of DENSO, one of the world's largest automotive parts manufacturers, marketed in the Americas by DENSO Products and Services Americas, Inc. from Long Beach, California. DENSO has designed and manufactured industrial robot arms since the 1960s and is the world's largest user of small assembly robots; more than 27,000 DENSO small industrial robots are deployed in the company's own manufacturing facilities and more than 143,000 additional units are used by other companies worldwide. The product range covers 4-axis SCARA robots (LPH, HSR, HM series), 5- and 6-axis articulated robots (VL, VM, VMB, VP, VSA, VSG series), collaborative robots (COBOTTA and COBOTTA PRO), and dedicated pharmaceutical/medical robots (VS-S2 series) certified for cleanroom use.

These are complemented by RC8A and MC8A robot controllers, teaching pendants, optional boards, and software tools such as WINCAPS III offline programming, ORiN2, and Robot Tools. DENSO robots are valued for high speed, precision, compact footprint, and reliability, and are applied in electronics assembly, pick-and-place, palletizing, packaging, material handling, inspection, and pharmaceutical and medical automation. The company supports customers with a global network of regional support centers, training courses, webinars, downloadable CAD data and manuals, a knowledge base, and repair services. DENSO Robotics has marketed high-performance industrial robots in the Americas since DPAM launched the business in 1999, and the broader robotics operation has more than 50 years of history.
