Stelle, Germany maker of autonomous field robots, including the solar-powered VALERA harvest-crate carrier and ADIR platforms for spraying and steep slopes.
Ant Robotics GmbH is a German developer and manufacturer of autonomous robots for agriculture and outdoor work. The company operates from Haulandsweg 18 in Stelle, Lower Saxony, and its registered office is at Adolf-Wagner-Strasse 16 in Hamburg (Amtsgericht Hamburg, HRB 167676). The managing directors are Sandro Rabbiosi and Philipp Overath. The team covers robotics, AI, mechanical engineering and software development.
The flagship VALERA CARRY is a solar-powered autonomous transport robot that carries harvest crates for pickers in strawberry, asparagus and vegetable crops. It measures 2.0 m long, 3.5 m wide and 2.0 m high, has an adjustable track width of 1.5 to 2.2 m and weighs about 350 kg. It carries up to 168 harvest boxes (40 x 30 x 15 cm) or 650 kg at up to 4 km/h. It runs on a 24 V battery system recharged by solar panels, which the company says allows unlimited operation through the harvest season. Navigation relies on optical row and obstacle detection without GPS or maps. Stereo cameras detect people and obstacles, near-field sensors stop the robot during box loading, and tilt sensors and emergency stops complete the safety system.
VALERA CUBE is a solar-powered gantry-style equipment carrier for trellised crops and plantations, with a 400 L tank, several working heights and attachments such as tunnel sprayers and UVC lamps. The ADIR line comprises three platforms. ADIR BASIC is an open-source mobile robot platform for industrial and outdoor use with 400 kg payload and an 8-hour working time, documented at docs.antrobotics.de. ADIR SPRAY is built for polytunnels and greenhouses, with a 150 to 200 L tank and a two-row boom carrying 3 or 6 nozzles per row. ADIR POWER handles steep slopes up to 50 percent gradient with 600 kg payload, on wheels or tracks.
Distribution partners are RWZ Agrartechnik Riedstadt for agricultural trade, Croptiq for crop protection, Robotshop for development platforms and PGH-Bau for film tunnels. VALERA was presented at World FIRA 2023, and the company took part in the EIT Food accelerator network.
