Estonian maker of autonomous parking-lot and pavement striping robots that paint layouts from digital plans with no pre-marking, active across the US.
10Lines is an Estonian robotics company that designs and manufactures autonomous robots for pavement marking, with a first focus on striping parking lots. The company was founded in 2019 by Tarmo Prints, who co-owns a traditional parking-lot marking business in Estonia and serves as CEO, and Janno Paas, an experienced start-up CTO and AI developer who leads technology. Its headquarters are listed in Tallinn, and the company describes its robots as designed and manufactured in Estonia.
The core product is the 10Lines striping robot, an autonomous line-marking machine that paints parking-lot layouts directly from a digital plan. Because the robot positions itself from the plan, the measuring, chalk-lining and pre-marking work that the company says takes about 70% of conventional marking time is eliminated. According to the company's seed-round announcement, the system combines satellite positioning with other sensors to reach line accuracy within 1-2 cm, and one operator can run a robot instead of a crew of two to four people. 10Lines claims its robots stripe parking lots about seven times faster than manual methods, can work at night and in low light, keep line spacing and thickness consistent, and save roughly 1.9 tonnes of CO2 per robot per year.
The robot is paired with 10Lines planning software, presented on the website as an easy-to-use parking-lot design layout tool. Users design or import the layout digitally, then send it to the robot to execute; a free licence for the tool is offered through 10lines.app.
Commercially, 10Lines targets striping contractors who want to get more work done with existing teams. The company tested its robots on car-park marking in Tallinn as part of a city testing programme in 2023, signed letters of intent with US striping companies, and began serving a client in Florida in November 2023. It exhibited at the National Pavement Expo (January 2024) and the ATSSA Expo (February 2024), expanded on the US East Coast in March 2025 and, according to its company timeline, expanded across the US in February 2026. The company lists a US contact number and an [email protected] address.
10Lines was self-funded at first and won about EUR125,000 in grants from Prototron and MyGalileoSolution; it was also an ESA BIC Estonia incubatee. In 2021 it raised a EUR700,000 seed round led by Tera Ventures with US investor Perot Jain. In April 2024 it closed a further EUR1.5 million round led by Tera Ventures and Karista, with Butterfly Ventures and angel Mike Oliinyk, to develop its robots and software, grow its engineering team and strengthen its US presence. Planned future markets named by the company include airports, harbours and road marking.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Autonomous pavement-marking robot that stripes parking lots from a digital layout with no pre-marking; company claims 7x faster than manual striping.
Parking-lot design layout software used to plan striping layouts that the 10Lines robot then executes; offered with a free licence via 10lines.app.
