A research team led by Huanyu "Larry" Cheng, an associate professor of engineering science and mechanics at Penn State, is developing an advanced electronic "skin" that incorporates pressure sensors. These tiny devices, comparable in size to a paperclip, are capable of measuring force applied over a surface area.
