"Patented real-time inertial motion tracking"
US AHRS/IMU maker founded 2012 in Portsmouth, Ohio, producing ultra-fast 3-Space sensors for robotics, VR, drone stabilization, and biomechanics up to 2000Hz.
Yost Labs (formerly YEI Technology) was founded in 2012 by Paul Yost in Portsmouth, Ohio, to develop high-performance inertial measurement units and attitude and heading reference systems (AHRS/IMU). The company's 3-Space sensor product line integrates triaxial MEMS accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers with proprietary QGRAD firmware to deliver fully fused orientation data at up to 2000Hz — approximately three times faster than sensors running standard Kalman filters. Product variants include ultra-miniature embedded PCBs (3-Space Nano at 3.8mm x 5.2mm), wireless Bluetooth and 2.4GHz DSSS versions, USB/RS232 interfaces, and data-logging configurations.
Applications include robotic control, drone stabilization, virtual reality head tracking, sports biomechanics analysis, and autonomous vehicle navigation. Customers include Apple, Google, Oculus, Siemens, VW, Nissan, Lockheed Martin, and the US Navy. Yost Labs was recognized among the best university startups in 2017 and maintains an in-house low-volume circuit board production line.
Primary type & automation activities this supplier delivers:
Family of miniature high-precision AHRS/IMU sensors with QGRAD firmware outputting fused orientations at up to 2000Hz.
