Xpert Automation is a French laboratory automation company founded in 2007 and based in Boissy-le-Chatel (Seine-et-Marne). It designs standard robotic platforms and custom automated systems for research laboratories, chemical library (compound management) teams and quality-control labs, and states more than 30 years of accumulated experience in lab automation and robotics. Its market is mainly France, with gradual expansion into other European countries.
The flagship product is XpertDose, a patented, miniaturized robotic powder-dispensing platform that doses solids down to the sub-milligram level and prepares solutions for chemical libraries. XpertLogistics is a modular sample-logistics platform complementary to XpertDose that handles weighing, taring, labeling and solution preparation. The company also offers an SBS-format plate labeler with an integrated scanner that labels 120 plates in 30 minutes, the compact XMP benchtop range for tube sorting, liquid dispensing and labeling, and the XQ range of semi-automatic tube capping/decapping and solids-dispensing modules, which it distributes in France under an exclusive partnership with XQ Instruments.
Beyond products, Xpert Automation provides consulting for compound-library managers, including transfers or changes of compound banks, support for changes to automated systems and robots, project-owner assistance and layout optimization with suppliers. Its custom design work covers modifying or creating automated systems, special machines, adapted supports and platform safety. Customers named on its site include Servier and Sanofi, the CRO Evotec and the INRA MetaGenoPoliS unit. The company is a founding sponsor of ELRIGfr, the French chapter of the European laboratory robotics interest group, and exhibits at Forum Labo in Paris.
