Windrobo

Windrobo is a robotics startup founded in 2021 and headquartered at 600 Johnson Avenue, Suite 201, Brooklyn, New York 11237. The company was co-founded by Jhon Arias and Doris Ospina, both with backgrounds in business administration and prior experience operating JA Maintenance Company, a building cleaning services firm.

Windrobo's core development project is an aerial manipulator: a custom drone with an integrated robotic arm designed to autonomously clean the glass facades of skyscrapers and high-rise buildings. The system is intended to replace human window washers who are exposed to significant fall and ergonomic hazards on elevated scaffolding.

The technical stack the team is developing includes a custom UAV frame, a robotic arm end-effector for cleaning contact and tool delivery, computer vision for facade navigation and surface detection, Robot Operating System 2 (ROS2) for system integration, Gazebo simulation for development and testing, PX4 autopilot firmware, custom PCBs and embedded systems, precision sensors, photogrammetry for 3D spatial mapping, and 3D-printed structural components. The CTO, Artur Mosquera Mykh, holds an MSc in Industrial Control and specializes in mechatronics, ROS2, artificial vision, and UAV control systems.

The company's stated mission is to create the best building cleaning service through a custom aerial manipulator that provides safer and more efficient cleaning of skyscraper glass facades. Its vision is to become a global leader in skyscraper cleaning and maintenance using automation.

Windrobo is a very early-stage company with fewer than 10 employees and no announced external funding as of mid-2026.
