ViTrox Corporation Berhad is a machine-vision and automated-inspection equipment manufacturer headquartered at ViTrox Campus 2.0 in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia. It was founded in 2000 by Chu Jenn Weng, Steven Siaw Kok Tong, and Yeoh Shih Hoong, all alumni of Universiti Sains Malaysia, first listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2005, and moved to the exchange's Main Board in 2009 under stock code 0097.
The company designs automated optical inspection (AOI), 3D solder-paste inspection (SPI), and automated X-ray inspection (AXI) systems for surface-mount PCB assembly, together with vision-inspection systems and handlers for back-end semiconductor packaging. Its Integrated Industrial Embedded Solutions unit supplies I/O cards and motion controllers used in automation and medical-device equipment, and its V-ONE platform, introduced in 2016, provides manufacturing-data and machine-connectivity software for factory digitalization. Customers span semiconductor packaging, printed-circuit-board assembly, electronics manufacturing services, communications equipment, and medical-device production across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
ViTrox reported more than 1,000 employees in 2023 and revenue of roughly RM750 million in 2022. It relocated to its Batu Kawan campus in 2018, added a further 21-acre plot there in 2021, and runs a training arm, ViTrox Academy, launched 2020.
