Company Overview

Uvision is an Israeli defence manufacturer of loitering munitions, unmanned aircraft that combine a surveillance drone with a guided warhead and can hover over an area before striking or aborting. The group is headquartered at 3 Nahal Alexander Road in the Emek Hefer Industrial Park, which it describes as its core R&D and production centre, and it reports manufacturing facilities in the United States, Europe, India and Israel. It states that its systems are produced to NATO and US military standards and carry NATO Stock Numbers.

The core product line is the HERO family, which runs from the man-portable HERO 30 through the HERO 90, HERO 120 and HERO 400 to the heavy HERO 900 and HERO 1250 for long-range missions. Figures published by its US subsidiary give the HERO 30 a 1.45 lb warhead, 30 minutes of endurance and an 18.7 lb system weight; the HERO 120 an anti-armour warhead of about 8.6 to 8.8 lb and a range of up to 37 miles, extendable to 60 km with an extended-range communication kit; and the HERO 400 a 25.3 lb warhead with 120 minutes of endurance. HERO munitions can be launched from vehicles, vessels, helicopters, canister multi-launchers and dismounted kits, use an EO/IR camera with an AI tracker and optional automatic target recognition, and allow the operator to call off a strike in flight. The VIPER family (Viper 300, Viper 750, Viper I, Viper MCL) and PEREGRINE MR widen the range, and CORTEX Battle Intelligence is an AI software layer for data fusion and mission management that connects sensors, command-and-control systems, autonomous assets and effectors.

The United States is the main market. The subsidiary Uvision Inc., formerly UVision USA, is headquartered in Stafford, Virginia and runs two US manufacturing facilities; the Virginia centre opened in 2021 and a second line operates in South Carolina. Uvision supplied HERO 120 under the US Marine Corps and US Army OPF-M programme from 2021, and in October 2025 Mistral Inc. and Uvision Inc. received a multi-year IDIQ contract valued at USD 982 million from the US Army Lethal Unmanned System programme to procure, field, train and sustain HERO 120.

Outside the US it works with Rheinmetall to integrate HERO onto vehicles for NATO customers and takes part in the AVision joint venture producing for the Indian Army. Group entities shown on its website are Uvision Inc., Uvision EU, AVision, Spear Uvision, TRIM Uvision and GForce Uvision. In April 2025 it announced the acquisition of Trim Robotics, developer of the QuadiKaze dual-frame rotary-wing loitering munition, and it has also acquired Spear UAV. In September 2026 it announced a collaboration with Estonia's Lendurai to integrate their systems for NATO applications.

Uvision is controlled by Israeli businessman Aaron Frenkel, who acquired it in 2010 through his private company Magnus. Ran Gozali, a former Rafael executive, is chief executive. In February 2026 Calcalist reported that the company had engaged JPMorgan to explore a US listing; no listing had taken place at the time of collection.
