Twinsity GmbH is a German software company headquartered in Kassel, founded in 2020 by Fabien Chalas, who previously worked on 3D data and computer vision at the Fraunhofer Institute and at drone company Aibotix, acquired by Leica Geosystems in 2014. Brock Ryder, who joined in 2023 from senseFly and Quantum-Systems, became co-chief executive alongside Chalas in October 2025.
The company's product, TWINSPECT, is a cloud platform that converts drone photographs of bridges, dams, buildings, and industrial plants into three-dimensional digital twin models through photogrammetry, then applies machine-learning models to flag cracks, spalling, corrosion, and other structural defects. The platform offers more than eight defect-detection models, lets engineering teams mark up and measure damaged areas remotely, and tracks the same structure across repeated inspection cycles for comparison. TWINSPECT imports data from tools including Agisoft Metashape, Bentley iTwin, PIX4Dmatic, and DJI Terra, and runs on Amazon Web Services with isolated environments per client and ISO 27001 certification.
Customers include engineering firms COWI, NIRAS, and Ramboll, and the platform has been used on Germany's Autobahn bridge-inspection program and by PCL Construction. Twinsity raised a seed round from C3 EOS VC Fund and 2.5 million euros from the European Innovation Council Accelerator in 2023.
