toolcraft AG is a medium-sized, family-owned precision manufacturing company headquartered in Georgensgmund, Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1989 by Bernd Krebs with a single milling machine in a garage in Schwabach, the company has grown to 482 employees across its parent plant in Georgensgmund and a mold-making facility in Spalt, operating on a total floor space of approximately 24,500 square meters (264,210 sq ft). toolcraft offers a fully integrated manufacturing process chain encompassing CNC machining (milling, turning, spark erosion), additive manufacturing (metal 3D printing), injection molding, mold making, and customized robotics and automation solutions. The company entered additive manufacturing in 2011 and now operates ten powder bed fusion (PBF) machines including dual-laser systems, as well as laser metal deposition (LMD/powder nozzle) equipment for coatings, repairs, and hybrid structures.
A proprietary dry-ice blasting system developed in-house enables mechanical support removal from metal AM parts, reducing post-processing time by up to 80%. toolcraft's robotics team designs and implements bespoke automation cells from concept to fully commissioned application. The company serves high-demand industries including aerospace, medical technology, semiconductor equipment, motorsport, automotive, optical systems, and special machinery. Clients include global market leaders in these sectors. toolcraft holds a comprehensive portfolio of certifications including ISO 9001, EN 9100 (aerospace), EN ISO 13485 (medical devices), ISO 14001 (environmental), NADCAP welding (WLD), NADCAP non-destructive testing (NDT), DIN EN ISO 3834-2, DIN 2303, and Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) approval for additive manufacturing.
The company is a longstanding partner of Siemens for NX-based digital manufacturing.
