Starfish Space is an American space technology company founded in 2019 by Austin Link and Dr. Trevor Bennett, both former Blue Origin engineers, and headquartered in Tukwila, Washington. The company develops the Otter spacecraft, a small autonomous servicing vehicle designed to perform rendezvous, proximity operations, docking, and servicing of satellites in orbit. Otter vehicles can extend satellite operational life, deorbit defunct satellites, and support constellation logistics.
In January 2026 Starfish Space was awarded a $52.5 million U.S. Space Force contract for end-of-life satellite disposal under the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture program. Three Otter vehicles are planned for launch in 2026 for NASA, U.S. Space Force, and Intelsat missions. Total funding raised exceeds $162 million.
