SiFly Aviation, Inc. is a Santa Clara, California-based drone manufacturer developing long-endurance, autonomous vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial systems for industrial and public-safety applications. The company exited stealth in August 2025 with the announcement of two flagship platforms: the Q12 and the Q250.
The Q12 is a fully electric quadrotor designed for data collection and payload delivery missions. It achieves up to 180 minutes of flight time in hover on a single charge, with a top speed of 60 mph, a range of 90 miles, and a payload capacity of 10 lbs. In August 2025, SiFly's Q12 set a Guinness World Record for electric drone endurance with a 3-hour, 11-minute continuous flight, beating the prior benchmark by nearly one hour. The Q12 is NDAA-compliant and rated IP55 for weather resistance. It supports swappable payloads including EO/IR cameras (20x optical / 80x hybrid zoom, 1280x1024 thermal), LiDAR, AED, cargo containers, and multispectral sensors. Connectivity combines dual-SIM bonded 5G with carrier failover, 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and sub-GHz HaLow radio for BVLOS operations. Onboard systems include ADS-B 1090+978, Remote ID, dual RTK receivers, radar altimeter, and an optical detect-and-avoid system. Deliveries are planned to begin in 2026.
The Q250 is a heavy-lift platform targeting replacement of light utility helicopters. It carries up to 237 lbs of payload, reaches 100 mph, and offers up to 100 minutes of flight time over an 85-mile range, with availability scheduled for 2027. SiFly also offers DronePort, a ground infrastructure product for autonomous remote drone operations.
Target markets include public safety (drone-as-first-responder, search and rescue, fire response, perimeter/border security), logistics, mapping and surveying, infrastructure inspection (power lines, pipelines, rail, renewables), agriculture, and defense.
