Sealevel Systems, Inc. has designed and manufactured industrial I/O and embedded computing hardware in Liberty, South Carolina since 1986. The company was founded by Tom O'Hanlan, who observed that hardware built to survive dusty, hot, shock- and vibration-prone textile environments could operate reliably almost anywhere. Sealevel reinvented industrial I/O when it introduced the first RS-422/485 communication adapter for the IBM PC.
Today Sealevel offers over 350 standard products across eight major categories: embedded computers (Relio R1 series including Edge and HPC+ variants, Flexio fanless industrial computers), data acquisition devices (SeaDAC, SeaI/O), Ethernet serial servers (SeaNET), USB products (SeaLINK serial adapters, SeaLATCH locking connectors, SeaISO USB isolators), PCI Express serial and digital I/O cards, PCI cards, tactical communications adapters (MIL-STD-1553, synchronous serial), and industrial IoT hardware.
The 52,000 sq ft Liberty campus houses engineering, manufacturing, and a full SMT production line with automated screen printing, pick-and-place machines, 10-zone convection reflow, and 5-camera AOI. All products are made in the USA. Sealevel serves autonomous and unmanned systems, defense and aerospace, industrial automation and control, public safety, medical, energy, smart cities, and transportation sectors.
Certifications include ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, RoHS/REACH compliance, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001. Sealevel is active in PC/104 Consortium, PCI-SIG, PICMG, SOSA Consortium, and Intel Partner Alliance. Products are designed to MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and related defense standards.
