Company Overview

Sanhua Holding Group Co., Ltd. is a global industrial conglomerate headquartered in Xinchang, Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, China, founded in 1984 by Zhang Daocai as the Xinchang Refrigeration Components Factory. Over four decades it has grown into the world's leading manufacturer of refrigeration and air conditioning control components, and a major supplier of thermal management components for new energy vehicles (NEV), with a developing presence in industrial automation.

Sanhua's two primary business units are: (1) HVAC/R and Home Appliance Control Components, covering residential air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, micro-channel heat exchangers, home appliance components, and inverter controllers; and (2) Automotive Thermal Management Control Components (operated through Sanhua Automotive, sanhuaautomotive.com), which supplies electronic expansion valves, electronic water pumps, electronic oil pumps, electronic water valves, plate heat exchangers, oil coolers, and water cooling plates for both traditional and new energy vehicles. The automotive division serves all major global automakers and Tier-1 air conditioning suppliers, with plants in Hangzhou, Shaoxing Binhai, Mexico (Saltillo), and Poland (Tychy), and R&D centers in Hangzhou, Detroit, and Stuttgart.

In 2024, Sanhua reported consolidated global sales of RMB 62.45 billion, ranking No. 419 in China's Top 500 Enterprises, No. 207 among China's Top 500 Private Enterprises, and No. 144 among China's Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises. The group employs over 25,000 people worldwide, including 5,400+ international staff, and operates 11 major production bases across China, Vietnam, Thailand, Poland, and Mexico, along with 7 technology centers and over 50 factories. Sanhua has filed 11,434 global patents (including 7,496 invention patents) and has been granted 5,893 patents to date. The group leads or co-leads 60 national and industry standards. Its listed subsidiary Zhejiang Sanhua Intelligent Controls Co., Ltd. (ticker: A-share) went public in 2005 and is included in more than 200 global indices including CSI 300, MSCI, FTSE Russell, and S&P Dow Jones. Over 10 of Sanhua's product categories hold the No. 1 global market share. The company serves 70% of the world's top 30 brand customers, including all major automakers now developing NEV thermal management systems. Sanhua's EV thermal management components — including EV-specific water valves and cooling plates — are directly relevant to the electrification of industrial and service robots as well as next-generation autonomous vehicles.
